FREE TRAINING COURSE TO BECOME A DEALER

SECURITY OFFICERS Fulltime & Casual

Start your career in international hospitality.

During the year, we will offer a free, comprehensive training school in casino gaming. If you successfully complete the course and acquire a casino licence you will be offered employment with Casino Canberra.
The training course is conducted over a four week period and to be selected you
will have the following qualities:

  • A desire to excel in customer service
  • A consistently high level of accuracy
  • A high level of personal presentation
  • A willingness to work shifts, and
  • *You must be at least 18 years of age and be an Australian citizen or hold a current
    working visa.

Games.

When you have completed your traineeship you will have the skills to run and manage table games in a casino environment and a range of generic skills required in the hospitality industry.

Just some of these include working in a socially diverse environment with colleagues and customers; learning health, hygiene safety and security procedures used in the hospitality industry; providing responsible service of alcohol and gambling services; dealing with customers and conflict situations; promoting products and services to customers; communication and coaching others in job skills.

This training and development will provide you with a professional package of skills that is in high demand in hospitality jobs all around the world, including the glamorous positions available in global casino groups that are seeking high quality employees.

Where To Next ? Management Development.

Once you have progressed to the level of a supervisory position you will be offered an additional qualification in frontline management. Certificate IV in Frontline Management is designed for people in supervisory and management positions who would like their experience to be recognised and converted into a formal qualification. The course work itself does not intrude into work time and you will maintain your classification and working conditions while you are undertaking the course.

On completion you will attain a Certificate IV in Frontline Management which is a nationally recognised qualification.

All this will set you up for a solid career in hospitality and the tourism industry, which
can take you anywhere in the world, and the training is all provided by Casino

Commencing on 1st February 2010, Casino Canberra is offering a free, comprehensive training school in casino gaming. The free training course is conducted over a four-week period Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Full-time employment will be offered with Casino Canberra after successfully completing the course and acquiring a casino employee licence from the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission.

To be selected you will have the following attributes:

If you believe you are a people person, bright enthusiastic and you’re looking for a career in the Security Industry you may qualify for this position.

Applicants must possess the following attributes:

 Self motivated
 Mature, responsible outlook
 Concise report writing ability
 Ability to work in a team environment
 Available to work a rotating roster including days, nights and weekends

Experience is preferred but not essential. All successful applicants will be required to undertake the necessary training, be permanent residents of Australia or have a relevant working visa, have reached 18 years of age and be suitable to acquire a casino licence from the ACT Gambling and Racing Commission.
